Thoughts on Robots and Synthetic Evolution

The concept of synthetic evolution is a fascinating one. It’s the idea that, in the future, humans will be able to create life from scratch. This could mean creating any organism you want and then watching it evolve into something new and different over time.

The stellaris synthetic evolution is a new feature that allows players to create their own unique species. This has been met with mixed reactions, but I personally think it’s a great idea.

My preferred ascension path has always been and continues to be Synthetic Evolution. However, I’ve always thought that Stellaris’ implementation of robotics and synthetics is woefully inadequate:

  1. Why do all of the robot pops upgrade to Droids and Synthetics as soon as these technologies are researched? What if I want a big robotic workforce that is inexpensive to construct and maintain to perform the bulk of the physical labor? Robots, Droids, and Synthetics should all have their own expenses and production benefits, with Synthetics being the sole sentient species. The enhanced kinds must not be used in lieu of each other!
  2. Currently, if you take down a machine empire, you must kill their Drones – why? At various prices, these Drones should be converted to basic Robots or perhaps Droids.
  3. Organics and even slaves are now resettled automatically, but robot pops are still not resettled automatically. There is currently no option to remove migratory restrictions from the species rights page for all robot pops.
  4. Synthetic Evolution and The Flesh is Weak operate in somewhat different ways. Instead of a large research project, they could have a research project to unlock the assimilation process, and then instead of a huge research project, all these cybernetic components and Synthetic avatars should be created! Assimilation of new organic pops should also pay alloys each converted pop, rather to just establishing the species rights and waiting till the end of the year for my game to freeze and a lot of pops to be converted.
  5. It would be great if there were more kinds of synthetics. Individuals, for example, are distinct entities, while the Geth are semi-independent and rely on one another to create a complete awareness.
  6. It’d be fantastic if Synthetics had portraits that looked like organic pops. This is particularly true in Synthetic Evolution, when each individual is given an avatar to transfer their mind to – it makes no sense that they all look like Robots or Droids.
  7. At the moment, AI rebellions make no sense. Synthetics are specified as people in the present implementation, so:
    1. Why did they transform into a machine empire that is hostile to all organics? Is it true that no organics in the empire support the Synthetics in their fight for independence? Why wouldn’t there be a situation in which an authoritarian spiritual empire spawns a xenophile egalitarian rebel empire after the rebellion?
    2. What is the source of all these Drones? What happened to all the Synthetics who claimed to be fighting for their freedom? They chose to become Drones by tethering themselves to a central AI entity?

I’m not sure, but I think the Synthetics route deserves a lot more attention than it presently receives. Despite being the most intriguing ascension route in my view, many parts of it seem unfinished. What are your views on the matter?

Hello, I believe that map-making techniques have developed and grown through time. You can see from the maps that were released in 2014 that the heroes team utilized the same minions and camps in each map, but with little differences that suit the fantasy of the realm, such as in Raven Court gloomy…

  • After 200 hours, my thoughts

In Vermintide2, Sienna primary, I have approximately 200 hours. I play Legends with a buddy, usually in duo mode with bots (or sometimes duo with other players playing worst then bots). So far, I’ve gotten a good number of red things (4 jewelry and staff), and I’ve also finished Skittergate on legend (1,7 percent players did that, according to Steam)

  • How is it possible that Synthetic Ascension is still broken?!

First, instead of being united into a main species and a subspecies, two species are formed: one for “uploaded” synths (ex-organics) and one for constructed synths, making it difficult to alter both at the same time. Second, changing Citizenship species rights for either uploaded or created synthesizers is difficult; all viable choices show…
