I’ve been thinking about interviewing Jay “Drunko 3PO” of Geeks + Gamers for a while. I finally had the chance to do so this week, and it was both interesting and fun. For those interested in writing an article on Drunko 3PO check out his website here where you can find some great content!.
Jay “Drunko 3PO” of Geeks + Gamers was interviewed.
I got down with Drunk3PO, or Jay, of Geeks + Gamers and questioned him about Gina Carano, cat breeds, theme parks, and more.
How did you become engaged with Geeks + Gamers, Blabbering Collector?
Jay: I began watching G+G videos on YouTube and following Jeremy on Twitter. I was being chastised over a video I created on Star Wars: The Last Jedi. After that, Jeremy jumped to my rescue and began following me on Twitter. He eventually contacted me and invited me to join the team! Until G+G decided to develop a theme park channel, I began making videos for the main channel and even Sports Wars.
BC: Interesting; were you working on Sports Wars?
J: I was only filling in, not doing what Ryan is doing right now.
BC: Is it a particular sport or something more general?
J: “Can you cover this, are you available?” was more like it. This was before Sports Wars became what it is now; at the time, it had about 3,000 subscribers.
BC: Wow, that’s very nice. What inspired the name “Drunk3PO”?
J: I was invited to join a podcast by some pals, and everyone had come up with goofy or idiotic Star Wars names, so I simply selected this one. I wasn’t expecting it to turn out this way.
BC: Were you under the influence at the time?
J: No, no. It was more along the lines of “Wouldn’t it be amusing to watch 3PO drunk?” “How would he respond?” Because 3PO would never be inebriated.
BC: How long have you been traveling? How did you get started with it?
J: I traveled to Africa with a student group to serve and work with the people of Kenya while I was in college! To cut a long tale short, I realized I wanted to pursue more of this kind of work. So I was planning on returning to Kenya for three months of service… I completed the course, but when the earthquake struck Haiti in January 2010, I was requested to assist since I had international training. I went in and lingered for a bit. For many years, I alternated between the United States and Haiti.
It was intriguing since I got in touch with various groups while volunteering in Haiti. “Hey, we have your contact information,” they said. At the airport, we’d want to bring in a construction crew or a doctor. “Are you available to pick them up and transport them to their destination?” So it was similar to my line of work, transporting people to various locations in Haiti to assist others.
Then it changed to “Would you want to do the same thing in other countries?” I began traveling across the globe, assisting in the construction of orphanages and houses, and bringing others along with me, whether leading a team or just volunteering. I did it for a while because I enjoyed traveling the globe.
BC: Have you visited many countries?
J: I don’t have a clue! Almost every nation has a temperate climate. I’ve never been to Russia or Greenland, for example. I’ve visited several impoverished areas, particularly in the Caribbean. Haiti, Africa, Cambodia, China, and other such areas!
BC: Wow! But now that you’ve been Alaska, you can’t really reply, “Not every location that’s frigid,” can you?
J: Yeah! I’m attempting to break the pattern. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do!
BC: Did you have a lot of pests on your trip?
J: Nothing was there! I traveled to a spot called Trapper Creek, which was completely devoid of life — no people, no animals! It was pleasant; it was serene.
BC: Nice! Who would you bring on an expedition if you could bring any fictional character?
J: Indiana Jones is my all-time favorite character.

BC: What led you to teaching?
J: I knew I wanted to be a teacher relatively early on in high school. That was my intention. Indiana Jones was a fantasy of mine. He was a traveling instructor. That’s how big of an impact the film made on me. I studied history, namely global and Roman history. I planned to be a history teacher who would go to all of these locations and bring history to life!
BC: What is your favorite YouTube feature?
J: It’s introduced me to so many wonderful folks I’d never met before! Hearing other people’s tales and interacting with like-minded individuals who have all these incredible stories that most people will likely never hear. That is fantastic. I like hearing how individuals have achieved, how they are living their aspirations, and how they have made their goals come true! They do not need to be well-known. For me, it is the finest option.
BC: What about YouTube is your least favorite feature?
J: The YouTube drama, when people don’t understand you and just despise you for your viewpoint. They don’t take the time to get to know you and your personality… They just view a video and say, “I despise that person; let’s humiliate and mock him!”
BC: When are you and Ryan planning to tie the knot?
J: We broke up, unfortunately. *giggles and facepalms* We decided to call it quits because our life objectives and ambitions were too dissimilar.
B: You didn’t even attempt couples therapy? Have you gone cold turkey?
J: We were able to reach an agreement.
BC: Okay, that’s reasonable. What was the origin of the Dark Council? My favorite characters are Lord Callous and La Reina.
J: It all began with The Last Jedi. I made friends with some of the most talented YouTubers. Their shouts were drowned out. People on one side of The Last Jedi said that the only people who dislike it are “old, white guys,” while everyone else loves it! And now we have these non-white Youtubers who are screaming, “We can’t tolerate this film,” and are being suppressed because no one wants to hear their viewpoint.
So we formed this group – and these folks have become some of my closest friends – to attempt to bring their views and principles to light because they don’t enjoy being categorized by the internet based on an agenda checklist.
Many of them weren’t monetized on their own personal YouTube channels when we first began, so the Dark Council was important in putting eyeballs on them. My own YouTube channel was larger at the time, so I was able to utilize it to get new, fresh eyes on them. And we were successful in achieving their YouTube objectives. It’s been an incredible journey. They are some of the most amazing folks I’ve encountered online.
BC: Can you tell me where the Dark Council is?
J: Right now, we’re changing channels because we want everyone to have a chance to speak. We’ll most likely build one channel and use it as our home base in the near future.
BC: That’s a fantastic idea; that way, people will always be able to discover the Dark Council without having to guess who is hosting it each week! Gina Carano, how are you doing?
J: I knew you’d ask. *giggles* She is content with her current situation. She’s making the movie she’s always wanted to make. I believe she will soon be in the director’s chair, maybe even creating a tale that she want to tell.
She’s just overjoyed and delighted! All she wants to do is meet everyone at these comic events! When I told her about the comic conventions, she stated she wanted to hug everyone who had helped her!
She’s in good shape! In a few months, she’ll be releasing a film. pic.twitter.com/c3vMniR3Mh

BC: Which theme park is your favorite, and why?
J: It varies from month to month! But, if we had to choose only one, it would be Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It has the Pandora, which is lovely. It’s very incredible. I adore animals. *giggles* I understand Disney’s situation and why people are outraged.
BC: What characteristics distinguish an excellent theme park?
J: A unique combination of adrenaline thrills, family rides, and magnificent sights. There should be themed eateries in every theme park. If I were to construct a Star Wars theme park, the eateries would be themed to the park. Animal Kingdom, for example, offers eateries themed around what you would see on a safari. That’s fantastic. It must include fantastically themed food selections.
BC: Lethal is curious about your first automobile.
J: My first automobile was a Ford Mustang with a manual transmission. I’m not sure what year it was. It was rather ancient. I only had a thousand dollars to spend on a secondhand automobile. It served me for three years before dying.
BC: Could you please smolder and gaze at the camera?
J: What is a smolder, exactly? *makes the expression below*
BC: Are you a cat person? Which cat breed is your favorite?
BC: What is your favorite park food?
J: Ice cream that is soft serve. Not the ice cream that is hard! I’m in Florida, and while it’s hot, it’s the way to go!
BC: From your favorite to least favorite, rank all six Star Wars films.
J: The Empire Strikes Back, Phantom Menace, A New Hope, Return of the Jedi, and Attack of the Clones (my favorites). Guys, I’m a prequels fan.
BC: Do you have anything to say to the audience?
J: I value what they’ve done for me much more than they understand. I’m quite appreciative. Every day, I’m thankful for them. I wouldn’t be on YouTube if it weren’t for them. They are one-of-a-kind. Simply said, I’m grateful. What we’ve been able to do in the last two years… we’ve raised over $80,000 for charity on Drunk3PO, thanks to G+G, of course! In El Salvador, we created an orphanage.
My fans and viewers have stuck with me through thick and thin! They’ve been with this channel and me for a long time, and I’m grateful for them turning up, commenting, watching, offering their feedback, and supporting me. They are everything to me, and without them, I would be nothing.

Punch-Out by Mike Tyson.

BC: What is your favorite vacation spot?
J: Follow the second star to the right till sunrise.
BC: Have you read any of the Star Wars: Expanded Universe books?
BC: What’s the strangest location you’ve ever slept?
J: The floor of my kitchen.
BC: What? How?
J: It was quite late, and I was extremely hungry. I placed frozen food in the microwave for eight minutes and then fell asleep on the counter while waiting for it to complete. It wasn’t like I was fast asleep! When I awoke, though, everything ached, and I thought to myself, “What are you doing, Jay?” Get up!” I went to bed without even eating the dinner! It was in the microwave for a while.
BC: Did you ever eat it, or did you throw it away?
J: I have no idea! If I had left it overnight, I would have thrown it away. As everyone knows, I’ve slept everywhere… Floors, sofas, buses, aircraft, automobiles, the outdoors… Yes, I’m not sure what it is. I’ve been fortunate. It’s not always ideal since you’re in agony when you wake up!

The Twitterati’s Questions
What’s it like to be the most attractive guy on the internet, according to Twitter? Is there a lot of pressure, or do you do it naturally?
J: Who asked that? *laughs* Rachel Lindberg, MD? Yes, there is a great deal of stress. Because of that, I’m willing to relinquish the throne.
BC: Do you have somebody in mind?
No, but I will accept applications. There’s too much stress in my life, and all I want to do is eat at buffets! I don’t want to be concerned about my appearance. It began as a joke and has never stopped! It all began when someone on Twitter started calling me “fat” and “ugly.” “Say what you want, but I am the most gorgeous guy on YouTube,” I said, posting the most absurd, flamboyant picture alongside his remark. It was quite popular!
People started shouting things like, “Oh, we got the most attractive guy on YouTube!” while they mocked my appearance. I can’t even remember where I put the picture; it’s been years. I was wearing a pink shirt and a bandana…. “I despise this man,” and “He thinks he’s so hilarious…” were among the subsequent remarks. It was fantastic. Because some Twitter users are so stupid. I just don’t give a damn.
T: How does it feel to be the most popular lawn mowing simulator streamer?
J: That’s a lot of pressure, too! It’s difficult to keep up. I want to return and reclaim my title, since I haven’t played in two months.
T: What inspired your interest in theme parks?
J: As a youngster, I adored going to theme parks. My brother (Lee) and I would always go to these various locations together. Perhaps it was the rush of adventure from all the thrill coasters! “Let’s go grab some ice cream, cotton candy, let’s go on some rides and have some fun!” I’d say when I returned to the United States after being gone. It had always piqued my interest.
Around the same time, we both moved to the Orlando region. We aren’t huge fans, but we go often. It’s just what we do. I’d want to take a road trip across America and see all of the non-Disney theme parks. That would be entertaining.
T: What is your favorite ride in a theme park?
J: In Animal Kingdom, Avatar’s Flight Of Passage.
Jay is the perfect theme park person, capable of riding every ride! vbuI3AnT25 pic.twitter.com
May 13, 2022 — ParkHoppin – Geeks + Gamers (@ParkHoppin)
T: What position would you play in professional baseball if you could, and why?
J: I played first base in high school and in all of my softball leagues. It’s simple to toss me since I’m a huge target. And I’m sluggish!
Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me, JoAY; it was fantastic!
