The Shrine of Tribute in Sea of Thieves is a difficult challenge that requires players to find the treasure chest, open it, and return the items inside. Players often ask how to enter and complete this challenge.
The chest of ancient tributes is a chest that can be found in the Sea of Thieves. It has a chance to contain one of three items, which are the Shrine of Tribute, Piggy bank, and Golden idol.
The Six Shrines of the Sunken Kingdom, which see pirate teams delving under the waters in search of diaries and riches if they’re fast and smart enough to answer the puzzles inside, are without a question the finest portion of Sea of Thieves’ Season Four content.
What is the location of the Shrine of Tribute?
The Ancient Isles is home to the Shrine of Tribute. Head west from Plunder Outpost to coordinates G18. Blue and purple lights will appear in the sky as you approach. Prepare for a swim by putting your anchor in the lights.
How do you go inside the shrine?
As you swim down the river, you’ll see the shrine. Proceed to the shrine’s east side. At the bottom, there will be an entrance. A stone-encircled stairway will be ringed by blue shimmering coral. You’ll arrive at a door through the stairwell. Although the entrance is closed, there is a lever within the stairwell that will unlock it and enable you to access the Shrine of Tribute.
After swimming through the now-open tunnel, go straight down. You’ll walk into a big room. Just below the Sunken Merfolk statue on the east side of the chamber is a Siren Statue puzzle, which you should use to keep wealth as you discover it rather than traveling back and forth to your ship.
Take a peek at the mural of the Siren Statue. The arms may be in three distinct positions:
- Low Siren Statue with Chain:
- Middle: A Siren Statue with a Coral
- High Siren Statue with a Gem:
The first Siren Statue may be seen here.
Make careful to examine the diary on top of the fallen wall before leaving this area. Head south and swim through the tunnel after you’ve finished reading it. You’ll go through a few chambers before reaching an area with a lot of the same brilliant blue coral you saw at the entrance. At the foot of the Undersea Vent lies the second journal entry.
Once you get this diary, proceed down the trail until you reach a fork in the road (you’ll ultimately turn north). Follow the route to the left (west) until you get to the first Siren Statue. You’ll see that it’s holding a gem, so keep hitting it until its arm is raised.
Locate the second. Statue of a Siren
After there, you may return to the original route you took and continue heading north. The Siren Statue with the conch shell may be found here, but we don’t need it right now. Take the route to the east. There’s a room with a lot of red coral in it. Look to your right for a stone lip with the third journal affixed on it.
Return to the Siren Statue with the conch shell and enter via the south exit into a huge room with a stone statue on a throne. There will be a fissure in the wall behind it, surrounded with brilliant red coral. Enter the crack and continue until you reach the stairwell. Continue climbing until you reach the air pocket. A Siren Statue with coral in its hand may be found. Whack it around until it’s in the center.
The third Siren Statue may be found here.
Return to the chamber with the throne and the statue. The final Siren Statue may be found up the stairs on the side of the room. It should be at the low position when you hit it.
Return with the conch shell to the Siren Statue and strike it. As the water level rises, you’ll be able to reach the upper floors of the chamber with the throne statue.
Solve the problem on the floor.
Ascend to the throne statue at the top of the room. Head west to locate the treasure chamber, and don’t forget to pay a visit to the Merfolk Statue if you need it. Take a peek at what’s on the ground. The elevated section will become crucial in the near future.

Make your way south and prepare to perform some platforming. Jump to the south side of the chamber via the top route. You’ll see another elevated floor part as you go.
You’ll notice a mass of coral in front of you on the opposite side of the statue. The Shrine of Tribute’s fourth diary sits above it. The last elevated piece of floor is just beside the journal. More treasure may be found on the extreme south side of the chamber.
You want to sprint down the route now that you’ve gotten a feel for it and rapidly press those elevated floor tiles. The statue sitting on the stone throne will move once they’re all down. The good news is that this will lead to the discovery of the next region to investigate. The bad news is that you’ll have to kill a swarm of Sirens before you can proceed.
Enter the chamber created by the statue’s movement. There’s more treasure in there, as well as the most recent diary entry. Even after you’ve finished the Shrine of Tribute, be sure to gather all the treasure you can and utilize the Merfolk statue near the entrance.
