The director’s cut of Death Stranding will be available for purchase on Steam and the Epic Games Store on March 30th, according to 505 Games and Kojima Productions.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut, described as the “definitive” edition of Hideo Kojima’s epic starring Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead, has a number of improvements over the original PC release, including support for Intel’s Xe Super Sampling (Xess) technology. According to the game’s subtitle, players may anticipate fresh and enhanced content.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut will cost $39.99 at launch, but Kojima fans who already possess the original version of the game will be able to upgrade for just $9.99. This discount is valid for Death Stranding on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
“You must have the DEATH STRANDING base game installed on your PC to obtain the update for DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT,” 505 Games confirmed. “At launch, you will be offered with the upgrade fee when purchasing the game from the PC site. You will be charged the full fee if you do not have the DEATH STRANDING base game loaded.”
