Unseen, the deadliest ninja in all of history. He is able to kill enemies with shuriken without even touching them. It’s said he has never lost a battle- not because his skills make him unbeatable, but due to the fact that no one knows he exists period. While it may be hard for ordinary ninjas to defeat this enigmatic man, there are some characters who would have an easier time than others…
The “who can beat madara in anime” is a question that has been asked before. Sasori is the villain of the Naruto series, and he is one of the strongest characters in the series. Here are 15 anime characters that could likely beat him.
Because of his loss at the hands of Sakura, Sasori receives the most memes of all the Akatsuki members.
Many people were offended by the fact that he wasn’t really trying and was going against Miss Useless.
However, for the sake of this list, we’re looking at characters from other shows whose triumph over the puppet master would have been much more believable.
Natsu Dragneel, number 15
Fairy Tail is a Japanese animated television series.
We’re going to start with Natsu since this is a bit of a questionable bout.
When facing Sasori, you must be wary of two things: being swamped by his 100 puppets and being poisoned by his poison.
When it comes to the puppets, I believe Natsu’s fire breath will quickly reduce the quantity, since we’ve seen how fragile they are.
When it comes to the poison, things become a little more complicated.
Natsu does not have 100% poison resistance, but he can absorb a lot of it. Natsu received a lot of poison damage in his battle with Kobra, yet he still managed to move about with ease.
That’s significant since it was characterized as a paralyzing and fast-acting toxin, similar to Sasori’s.
With his greater strength and speed, Natsu can just body the main Sasori once he gets past those two obstacles.
Giorno Giovanna Giorno Giovanna Giorno Giovanna Gi
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind (anime)
Although Sasori is readily bodyed by Golden Experience Requiem, I’d want to make a case for basic Giorno as well.
Because all of the puppets are lifeless, Giorno might possibly change them all into frogs and make Sasori’s skills ineffective.
Giorno could certainly knock out the most of his weaponry and gadgets if he manages to strike a hit on the main body, since only his core seems to be fully alive.
And I don’t believe Giorno would have any trouble getting the hits in, given his speed feats seem to beat Sasori’s by a significant margin.
However, since Giorno lacks any direct countermeasures, the poison might be a problem. However, owing to the speed difference, I really doubt he would ever be struck.
Isaac Netero (age 13)
Hunter x Hunter is a Japanese anime series (2011)
I believe Sasori would be dead in a minute if we created the scene with Netero’s 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva on the battlefield and all of Sasori’s puppets out.
We witnessed in Netero’s battle with Meruem that he is capable of firing hundreds of assaults in a single minute, each one accurate and destructive.
And I simply don’t believe Sasori will be able to keep up with that.
A single Bodhisattva punch has significantly more force than a Sakura punch. As a result, all of the puppets will be one-shot.
That’s not even taking into account Netero’s ability to wipe down numerous puppets in a single strike.
Poison smoke would never reach him, either, since he’s waving his arms about. You may argue that the needles struck him, but I really doubt it.
I believe God speed Netero will have little trouble avoiding them if Sakura can do so easily.
12. Fushi
Fumetsu no Anata e Fumetsu no Anata e Fumetsu no Anata e Fumetsu no
Fushi, at the very least, isn’t going to lose this one since he’s eternal.
Now it’s time to make the argument for why he’d win:
Fushi’s body has learnt to generate antidotes on the fly after being drugged a few times, making most medications worthless. Despite Sasori’s use of poison, I believe Fushi would be able to swiftly neutralize it considering everything he’s been through.
Fushi is much behind Sasori in terms of speed. It doesn’t matter, however, since he doesn’t have to evade anything.
There’s nothing left except destructive strength.
Fushi can dole out some great AoE fire strikes while in Gugu form, which should take down most of the lesser puppets, and then he can transform into Oniguma to deal with the remainder.
It wouldn’t be the most spectacular or swift win ever, but I believe he has it in the bag.
11. Asta
Black Clover is a Japanese anime series.
Asta has a number of advantages.
To begin with, we know that Sasori uses chakra threads to manipulate his puppets. Asta can simply cut the puppets’ ties and render them worthless, since it is the Black Clover universe’s version of magic.
With his Demon-Dweller blade, he can even do it from a safe distance.
Second, if we assume Sasori infuses part of his chakra into his Demon-Destroyer sword, it can absorb any poison that affects him.
Finally, Asta just outperforms Sasori in terms of strength, endurance, and speed. Even Sasori’s primary body would be easily overpowered by a completely blood-lusting Asta in his demon form, and his experience with ki detection would certainly enable him to avoid any needles that came his way.
10. Akame
Akame ga Kill! is a Japanese anime.
Akame, like Sasori, has a one-scratch-one-kill policy, with her blade wielding a curse powerful enough to kill anybody in a split second of contact.
Unlike Sasori, though, she is a solitary individual with no true long-range attacks.
So, how does she come out on top?
So, I’m putting my faith in an all-out speed blitz.
For this to work, we’d have to think that both characters are completely serious and bloodthirsty, since Akame seldom travels to her full capacity.
However, once she does, it’s all GG.
While time was practically stopped, she managed to blitz Esdeath. It’s arguable if a scratch on the main puppet could travel to the core through the chakra threads, but I believe she has a strong chance even if she needs to penetrate the heart.
9. Diane
The Seven Deadly Sins (Anime)
I simply don’t believe Sasori is capable of dealing with someone with such strong defenses.
So, thanks to her metal skin, Diane was able to shrug off all of the poison darts thrown her way — as well as some of the puppets.
Sasori’s primary body, while employing his water pump ability, would be the only significant threat.
Diane, on the other hand, might quickly overwhelm him by assaulting with her hammer and manipulating the Earth to create spikes everywhere.
Sasori couldn’t just ignore these strikes, and he’d be on the defensive for the duration of the battle.
And sooner or later, he’d be squashed like a gigantic puppet insect, for Diane’s assault power is much greater than anything he’d seen before.
8. Pain
Naruto: Shippuden is a Japanese anime series.
I merely wanted to include Pain since we must all admit that Nagato was the true puppet master!
The Six Paths of Pain are tremendously powerful and effectively fight Sasori in every manner possible.
Oh, you want to suffocate me with puppets or hurl poison at me? Deva Path want to speak with you.
Or did you genuinely succeed in destroying the Deva path? The Naraka Path, on the other hand, begs to disagree.
Is it worth it to go all out with fire and water cannons? Itadakimasu, declares the Preta Path.
That’s not even mentioning the animal summons or the mister vs. cyborg battles over here!
Nagato was on top for a reason.
Chuuya Nakahara is number seven.
Bungo Stray Dogs is a Japanese anime series.
The only way Sasori has a chance in this battle is if he uses poison mist — and I really doubt a mafia boss would fall for such a ruse.
Chuuya’s reflexes are just too quick, allowing him to intercept bullets at any moment.
As a result, any puppet or needle tossed his way is promptly smashed to the ground.
And if Chuuya goes wild, it’ll be GG for Sasori since he’ll AoE the crap out of him.
The fire and water cannons may be tough to avoid, but I’m convinced Chuuya will be able to do it with ease, much like Sakura.
Satoru Gojou is number six on the list.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese anime series.
Gojou is just overpowering in every way, thus he doesn’t even need to directly oppose Sasori to defeat him.
It’s almost hard to strike this guy since his Limitless talent creates a “no no area” all around him, effectively halting any attacks.
Aside from that, his speed is insane, allowing him to blink from one location to the next in seconds and dodge fire blasts at point blank range.
His punching strength isn’t the finest. He may easily one-shot Sasori’s puppets – or just clean them out with his Hollow Purple – if he puts enough cursed force behind it.
And if he becomes desperate enough, a simple Domain Expansion would almost always seal the deal.
5. One for everyone
My Hero Academia is an anime series based on the manga My Hero Academia.
This one needs some mental gymnastics, but I believe it is very sensible.
All For One wears a mask at all times. And, given that he isn’t exactly a moron, it most likely filters toxins from the air.
Also, considering the number of offensive and defensive Quirks he’s amassed, I’d venture a bet that poison resistance is among them.
Even if we only accept what we see in the anime as gospel, his odds are strong.
He could use his tendrils to control Sasori’s puppets, as they seem to be more strong and adaptable, or he could just blast them all away with his air cannon, as we witness him destroying many structures with one strike.
4. Aladdin’s Lamp
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (anime)
If Aladdin is blood-lusty, he has a number of excellent spells in his repertoire and can easily deal with most opponents.
His Bolg can deflect attacks, his fire magic can annihilate Sasori’s puppets from afar, his Hadika Hadeka makes his melee damage a significant danger, and so on.
His ability to call his sand warriors, however, is his true strength.
We’ve seen how enormous they are, and how they can all utilize fire breath to cover a large area, searing whatever they come into touch with.
True, it would be out of character for Aladdin to do so.
Aladdin, on the other hand, is the clear winner in terms of pure strength.
Tatsumaki, No. 3
One Punch Man is a Japanese anime series.
When it comes to long-range devastating power, Tatsumaki is a monster.
She could launch a meteor into the battlefield and wipe out the whole population. Alternatively, she may perhaps utilize her ability to compel Sasori’s puppets to assault the main body.
If Sasori strikes back against her, the puppets shatter, and he’s left in a one-on-one situation — if he doesn’t, he’ll be fighting his own army.
She could probably simply take his core out of his chest before the fight even begins… However, it would be a little too corny for our list.
Regardless of how she goes about it, her massive shield will protect her from damage, and her tyrannical might will ensure her success.
Rimuru Tempest is the second book in the Rimuru Tempest series.
That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime in Anime
Rimuru is always countering everyone.
He’s already immune to almost every sort of injury known to man, and even if he does succumb to Sasori’s poison, it’ll only be for a short time, since Raphael will devise an antidote in seconds.
Furthermore, he may perhaps devour only one puppet and learn the jutsu in order to take over Sasori’s army and give him a taste of his own medicine.
Even if he didn’t or couldn’t achieve it, his physical power paired with some wicked AoE spells would obliterate Sasori’s whole arsenal in a matter of seconds.
1. King
The Seven Deadly Sins (Anime)
I chose to conclude with King because I believe it would be the most fascinating battle in terms of theme.
King would also sit at a distance with his Chastiefol and combat Sasori like a genuine puppet user.
That said, I believe Chastiefol outranks puppets every day of the week, even the third Kazekage.
He can dismantle it into hundreds of separate blades and remove each puppet one by one. He might even employ the Sunflower, his fourth form, to blow them all to hell in a single assault.
Even if he is bitten by the poison, his Pollen Garden provides enough healing and protection. As a result, I don’t believe it would be deadly.
Plus, given his abilities as a Fairy King, Disaster, he should be able to simply manipulate the poison and eliminate it.
